Jolene Gutiérrez is an award-winning teacher-librarian and children's author based in Colorado. Since 1995, she has worked with neurodivergent learners at Denver Academy, bringing her own neurodivergent perspective to her teaching.
Growing up on a farm in northeastern Colorado, Jolene was surrounded by animals, plants, and history, which inspired her lifelong love for reading and writing. She holds a Master's degree in Library Science and has been recognized by the Colorado Department of Education for her highly effective school library program.
