Leonie H. Mattison, Ed.D., MBA, is a transformational leader, author, and advocate dedicated to organizational change and personal development.Born in Jamaica, West Indies, she endured significant challenges during her early years.At age 18, she emigrated to the United States, settling in Queens, New York, where she completed her high school education.
Dr. Mattison pursued higher education with determination, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.).Her professional journey encompasses roles in both nonprofit and academic sectors, focusing on organizational transformation and leadership development.Notably, she served as the Director of Clinical Research Operations & Major Grants at the William Sansum Diabetes Center and as an adjunct professor at Antioch University.
In October 2022, Dr. Mattison made history by becoming the first Black woman to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacifica Graduate Institute, a renowned institution specializing in depth psychology.Her leadership is characterized by a commitment to fostering inclusive and transformative educational experiences.
