Introducing Aimee Gibbs
Amiee Gibbs is an American author whose debut novel, The Carnivale of Curiosities, was published in July 2023. She grew up in rural Maryland, where she still resides on an allegedly haunted road, though she dreams of relocating to Ireland. Gibbs has worked for Penguin Random House for 13 years as a Sales Manager for independent bookstores across New England, New York, and the West Coast. Prior to that, she served as an Assistant Sales Manager at Waldenbooks and Borders.
The Carnivale of Curiosities is a gothic fantasy novel set in Victorian London, centered around a mysterious traveling sideshow known as Ashe and Pretorius' Carnivale of Curiosities. The story delves into themes of Faustian bargains, jealousy, and murder, featuring characters like Aurelius Ashe, the enigmatic proprietor rumored to grant wishes for a price, and Lucien the Lucifer, the star attraction born with the ability to create fire.
